Corrections policy

Last updated July 2026

A score is only worth something if it matches the product today. When we get something wrong, or a formula changes, we fix it in the open. Here is how.

How to report an error

Email hello@serumtruth.com with the review or page, what looks wrong, and a source if you have one (a current ingredient list, a brand page, a study). Brand representatives are welcome to flag a reformulation or a corrected concentration.

What we do with it

  • We acknowledge substantive reports and check the claim against the label and the research.
  • If it holds up, we correct the review and, where the formula or dose changed, re-run the SerumProof score.
  • We aim to act on clear factual errors within a few business days.

How we show a change

Every review carries a “price and formula checked” date, and a revision history at the foot of the page that lists when it was published and when it was last checked or corrected. A meaningful correction is noted there so you can see what changed and when. Our scoring method itself is versioned; how it works lives on the how we review page.

Why we bother

We take money through affiliate links, so we hold ourselves to a higher bar on accuracy, not a lower one. Correcting mistakes in public is part of the deal. Operated by [SerumTruth legal entity]; reach us any time at hello@serumtruth.com.
