Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum
Reviewed by SerumTruth Editorial · Updated July 2026
Do not be misled by "Vita C" in the name. The honest strengths are a sensibly dosed 4% niacinamide and 2% alpha-arbutin for the appearance of a more even tone, with the citrus extract as a pleasant, limited-evidence glow layer rather than a vitamin C treatment. On the disclosed actives it is a fair-priced, well-formulated brightening serum.

What’s inside
| Active | Disclosed | Dose |
|---|---|---|
| Green Tangerine | 70% | Studied |
| Niacinamide | 4% | Studied |
| Alpha Arbutin | 2% | Clinical |
A 70% fresh green tangerine (Citrus Tangerina) extract base, brand-stated, layered with a disclosed 4% niacinamide and 2% alpha-arbutin, in a pump bottle. Green tangerine extract is a whole-fruit botanical prized for its natural vitamin C content, not a purified, dosed ascorbic acid, so it scores on its own limited-evidence grade rather than as a stabilised vitamin C. The niacinamide and arbutin are the real, well-dosed actives behind the name; despite the "Vita C" branding, this is not an L-ascorbic acid serum. None of the disclosed actives here are notably fragile.
How it’s delivered
Air- and light-sensitive actives (vitamin C, copper peptides) lose potency fast in the wrong packaging, so delivery and the bottle are scored, not just what’s on the label.
